We had the good fortune of connecting with Maggie Escobar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maggie, how do you think about risk?
How do i think about risk: Life is already a risk, but sometimes i find myself on taking a risk to be able to solve priorities in life, but it is also like a passion to learn and grow as a person.
Once i take the risk it is like driving a train, I can not stop where i want to stop but also i have to drive carefully without crashing and kill every on on board.
Sometimes it feels like not knowing where i am going, then i pause think, analyze and plan for the next step.
What role has taking risks payed in my life?
Restaurant owner is a role that has taking risks payed in my life, i was able to provide professional education to my kids which was my priority number one.
What should our readers know about your business?
Nuevo Leon Mex Mex Restaurant & Catering founded in 1994, located at 12895 Josey Ln Suite 100 Farmers Branch TX, 75234.
M Escobar Enterprise Inc.
Created in February of 2015, owned by Maria M Escobar as a sole owner.
I began working for the company as a waiter, was a top performer, then quickly promoted to the position of Manager for the Farmers Branch store, then supervisor for the three locations under the preview ownership, and all this happened while i was living in a shelter for abused women, receiving therapies twice a week along with my kids. In 2010 I had the opportunity buy the Farmers Branch Location to Following my dreams as a Restaurateur to pursue my capability to grow and build my wealth and be able to send my kids to College and have their degree. That was the big push to risk the offer to buy. Each year after the buy out it is been a challenge, no mention year 2020. but with our hard work and the support of my community we have been able to make it until today.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I hope my best friend choose to come to The City of Farmers Branch in October, it is a beautiful month with great weather. I say October because our city brings in a Blooming Blue Grass Musical Festival for two days to the Farmers Branch Historical Park, it is a beautiful Park with so much to do, eat and drink from vendors, shop crafted items from vendors, listen music, sit dawn in the middle of the park with your favorite blanket and your best friend, and it is all evening Friday and all day Saturday, Then Sunday go to Church an go to Nuevo Leon Mex-Mex Restaurant for a delicious lunch. Then go the Fire House Theater for a show finishing the day with dinner at Marshals BBQ.
