We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Filer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We’re married wedding photographers because we truly love love. There is something so special about getting to witness and capture one of the happiest days in a couple’s life, and Larry and I never take that privilege for granted.
When people ask what success looks like to us, it’s knowing we helped create a wedding day that felt joyful, peaceful, and genuinely fun for our couples. If we can help ease stress, make someone laugh when they’re nervous, or help them be fully present with the people they love most, then we’ve done our job well.
Photography is about so much more than taking beautiful pictures. It’s about preserving memories that will be looked back on for decades. The hugs, happy tears, belly laughs, and quiet moments that deserve to be remembered long after the wedding day is over.
One of the biggest blessings of this career is the people God has brought into our lives. So many of our couples become more than clients, they become friends. We celebrate with them, pray for them, and genuinely care about them beyond their wedding day.
At the end of the day, if we’re giving God the glory for the blessings He’s given us and serving our couples in a way that makes a positive impact on their wedding day, then we consider ourselves successful. Everything else is just a bonus.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our photography style is elegant, timeless, and true toned style is shaped by the way we view love and marriage. As a married couple ourselves, we understand the importance of the commitment our couples are making and the significance of the wedding day. Because of that, we intentionally create an experience where everyone feels comfortable, relaxed, and able to enjoy every moment. Our goal is for them to look back at their photos wedding photos and not only still love them but love the memories associated with them as well.
We also believe that great wedding photography starts long before the wedding day. We take the time to truly get to know our couples, their story, their personalities, their vision for the wedding, and what they love most about each other. During engagement sessions, we’re not just taking photos; we’re learning how our couples interact, what poses feel natural to them, and what allows their connection to shine through in a genuine way.
We’re incredibly proud of the business we’ve built together. What started as a dream has grown into something that allows us to serve others while doing something we genuinely love. Capturing weddings often feels like a date night for us. We get to spend the day together celebrating love, working as a team, and creating beautiful, timeless imagery for our couples.
Early in our marriage, I often talked about becoming a full-time photographer, but I was too scared to take the leap. When we found out we were expecting our first daughter, Larry encouraged me to pursue wedding photography full-time. Looking back, that decision was one of the greatest blessings in our lives. It has given me the flexibility to stay home with our girls during the week while still pursuing a career that I love. I am forever grateful for his support. I’m blessed that we support each other’s dreams and encourage one another to grow.
Like any business owners, we’ve learned plenty of lessons along the way, some of them the hard way. But through every challenge, God has been faithful. He has used those experiences to teach us, strengthen us, and remind us to keep our focus on what truly matters. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of balancing work and family. When you’re passionate about what you do, it’s easy to stay behind the computer a little too long or skip a day off. But I constantly remind myself that this career is a blessing because it allows us to be more present with our family, not less.
More than anything, we want people to know how passionate we are about serving our couples. We are constantly working behind the scenes, planning, preparing, encouraging, and cheering them on. Our priority has always been creating an incredible experience for our couples while capturing beautiful photographs they’ll treasure for generations. We want our images to bring them right back to the emotions, moments, and memories of one of the best days of their lives.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit, we would definitely go to a couple of concerts, stay at The Gaylord, listen to music at Sundance square, of course go shopping at the outlet mall, and go to spa!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are incredibly blessed by the people God has placed in our lives throughout this journey. First and foremost, we give all the glory to God. We are so thankful for the gifts and talents he has blessed us with and for trusting us with so many sweet couples and their love stories.
We also want to give a special thank you to the girls’ Granna and Grandpa. They lovingly care for our girls while we’re photographing weddings and sessions, and we truly couldn’t do this without them. Knowing our daughters are loved and cared for while we’re serving our couples is such a blessing, and we’re beyond grateful for everything they do for our family.
I also have to thank my amazing mentor, Sherri Holloway. She has been such an inspiration to me, both as a successful wedding photographer and as a Christian mom. She has poured so much wisdom into our lives through business advice, photography education, encouragement, and countless mom-life conversations. Her support and friendship mean more than she knows.
And finally, to all of our wonderful couples, vendor friends, and fellow photographers, thank you. Thank you for your encouragement, referrals, kind words, prayers, and support of our family-owned business. Every recommendation, every friendship, and every opportunity to serve means the world to us. We truly wouldn’t be here without the incredible community that surrounds us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey with us.
