We had the good fortune of connecting with Chassidy Stampley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chassidy, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent I feel I have done my best to become a great role model for my children. I strive everyday to get better at showing them that anything is possible with hard work, passion and tenacity, they will be able to accomplish anything they set their mind to.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Chassidy’s Kitchen is Southern Comfort cooking. My parents are from Mississippi/ Louisiana, which reflects the food I grew up eating. I have always loved to cook and once I became a mother I really cooked and my little enjoyed every bit of it. I started with a dish here and there for the events until I mastered the Ham, Mac n Cheese, Cornbread Dressing and a few other favorites and then it became what are you cooking for Thanksgiving? I knew I had something at the point and I went with it. My all time favorites are Cajun pasta, Lasagna, Smothered Chicken,/Pork Chops and more. When I initially started out I struggled with trying to do it by myself but I soon found out I needed help especially being a mom. I am a self-taught so I had to learn a lot when it came to portion sizes, quality control etc. I have learned a lot through trial and error along the way where some were successful and a few fails but I continue to perfect my craft. I’ve recently booked a few events during this time which has definitely been a great confidence boost. I am proud of myself for pushing past my limits and continue to strive for greatness. I can make people happy with my love for food. This has definitely been a journey that I am grateful for and I will continue to learn more and strive for more.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been there for me from the jump. My hunni, has been there to lend a hand, delivery, store run or whatever it may be, which means a lot to me. My mom, is always there to give advice on anything that comes up or help babysit so I can complete an event. I’m grateful that they want to see my vision become clear. It’s an absolute blessing to be surrounded around people who want to see me succeed and push me when I feel like giving up, I just want say THANK YOU!! To everyone who has trusted me to serve you, who has referred and especially my “return” customers, I appreciate you all very much.
