Meet TREYCO | Music Artist | Actor | Creative Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with TREYCO and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TREYCO, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because I’ve always used creativity as my main way of expressing what I feel and what I experience in life. Growing up, I didn’t always have the ability to fully explain emotions or situations in words, but music, storytelling, and later acting gave me a way to turn real life into expression. It became more than just something I liked to do — it became how I process life and connect with people.
Music was the first space where I felt like I could be completely honest. I started creating at a young age, and over time it became a way to speak on real experiences, struggles, ambition, and everything I was going through mentally and emotionally. It wasn’t about chasing trends, it was about telling my story in a way that felt real to me.
As I grew, I expanded into acting and other forms of content creation because I realized storytelling doesn’t exist in just one lane. Acting taught me how powerful it is to step into different perspectives and bring emotions to life in a different way. That helped me grow not just as an artist, but as a person.
Ultimately, I chose this path because I don’t see creativity as just a career — I see it as purpose. It’s how I turn real experiences into something meaningful, whether that’s through music, film, writing, or content. I want everything I create to connect with people on a real level, especially those who come from similar situations and understand what it means to keep pushing forward despite life’s challenges.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is rooted in storytelling. Whether it’s through music, acting, writing, or content, everything I create comes from real life experiences, emotions, and personal growth. I don’t create just to follow trends — I create to express what I’ve lived through and what I’ve learned along the way.
What sets me apart is the combination of authenticity and versatility. I’m not limited to one lane creatively. I approach music with the same mindset I approach acting and content creation — as a form of storytelling. I want people to feel something when they hear my music or see my work, whether that’s motivation, reflection, pain, or inspiration.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Like most independent creatives, I’ve faced setbacks, moments of doubt, and situations that tested my patience and resilience. There were times where things didn’t move as fast as I wanted, or I had to figure things out independently without a clear roadmap. But those challenges are what shaped me and made me take my craft more seriously.
Over time, I learned that consistency matters more than motivation, and growth comes from continuing even when things aren’t perfect. I also learned how important it is to stay true to your voice and your story instead of trying to fit into what’s trending or expected.
What I want the world to know about me is that I’m building something real. My journey is about more than just music or entertainment — it’s about impact, expression, and legacy. Everything I create comes from a place of honesty, and I want my story to inspire others to keep pushing forward no matter what stage they’re in.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a close friend was visiting the Dallas–Fort Worth area, I’d try to give them a full experience that shows both the energy and the laid-back sides of the city.
During the day, I’d probably start with spots like Deep Ellum to walk around, explore, and get a feel for the culture, music, and art scene. I’d also take them to some local parks like Rochester Park (now William Blair Park) or other outdoor areas just to chill, talk, and enjoy the weather. Depending on the vibe, we might hit the gym, local basketball courts, or just move around the city and experience different neighborhoods.
For something more fun or active, I’d include places like arcades such as Strike + Reel, or even go bowling or find entertainment spots around the city. If it’s the right season, I’d also take them out to Rockwall to the harbor area — it’s a nice place to eat, walk by the water, go fishing, or just relax. Sometimes we’d also check out movie theaters or just low-key hangout spots away from the noise.
At night, I’d show them a mix of Dallas nightlife depending on the mood — places in Deep Ellum, lounges, and different clubs like Echo Lounge or other local spots where people go to enjoy music and socialize. There’s also a lot of car meets and car shows around the Irving and Dallas area that bring a different kind of energy that’s really unique to the city.
Food-wise, I’d make sure they try a mix of everything — good barbecue, seafood spots, and local Black-owned restaurants that really represent the culture here. I think food is a big part of the Dallas experience, so I’d definitely make sure they get that side too.
Overall, I’d try to show them a balance of everything — the fun, the creative side, the nightlife, the peaceful spots, and the culture — so they can really understand what the city feels like from different perspectives.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family and the people who have played a role in shaping my journey as a creative. My stepdad is someone I give a lot of credit to when it comes to learning the foundation of songwriting, structure, and creativity in music. He helped guide me early on and gave me insight into how to develop my sound and approach my craft more seriously.
My mom also played a big role in my development, especially when it came to building my understanding of recording, creating, and staying consistent with my work. Having that type of support early on helped me grow my confidence as an artist and learn how to take my craft seriously.
I also want to honor family members who are no longer here, who were a part of my life and journey in different ways. Their presence and memory continue to inspire me and push me forward in everything I do.
Most importantly, I want to thank my close family, friends, nephews, and everyone who has supported me along the way, including my fans. The encouragement, love, and belief from the people around me has played a huge role in keeping me motivated and focused on my path.
