We had the good fortune of connecting with Tish Creech, and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tish, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

 My family has traveled the world and I have shared those trips online with friends and family. We always felt it was important for our children to experience other cultures.  One trip  in particular,  we fell in love with Scotland.  Then I thought process was how I could incorporate travel into my daily life and have a business.  I dont want to be a travel agent…its more of a custom, immersion experience.  We absorb the local culture. Scotland has it all…sport, food, culture, marvelous people..  Everywhere you go it’s so beautiful.

Everything we do is custom, personal and you have someone to take care of you the whole time. We provide Concierge service but if you want to go on your own you can…it’s all custom.

Other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success? What was the most difficult…

My people…they contribute like an owner…we take their opinions very seriously.  We function as a team but  the individual is not lost in the process.. We have grown from a four person operation to 45.  Life balance is the most difficult daily issue. I love to work, I love my family, I am all-in all the time. I am a master at putting out fires. So is it balance or is it management of what is directly in front of you? Being present is my greatest asset. I read my people, family or situation at the moment and then take action.  I am rarely still.

I really try to do that…it’s contagious. I also want to be remembered as fearless, focused and fun.

What should our readers know about your business?

 Well, we have three businesses.  We started an estate sale company in 2013 and it is going strong.  We have grown from two employee’s to 45. Then we started

Southern Revival Marketplace April 2021 right after Covid. I am very happy with how it is doing.  Then Traveling Soul Tours started in January 2020

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

1. The Doves Nest for shopping and terrific food.  Their daily specials really rock.

2. Go to Fort Worth to the Stockyards…because it is a great visual of  authentic Texas.

3. Bishop Arts District for great food and eclectic shopping

4. The Ellis County Courthouse. It’s gorgeous, full of history and is the most photographed courthouse in the country.

5. I LOVE, I mean I am obsessed with French Food…so Talouse in Dallas, Andre’s Bistro in Corsicana and of course Boulevardier in Bishop Arts

6. For Mexican food I really like Casa Jacaranda in Venus and El Mexicano Cafe in Waxahachie

7. For a Fun Saturday the Chambers Creek Brewery in Maypearl and you can walk all of downtown in about 15 minutes.  Love small towns.

8. Can you tell I gauge everything or every place by the quality of food?  Haha  Next would be a jaunt out to Rocket Cafe for their famous Chicken Fried Steak and Live Music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

All the strong women in my life.  All carry different perspectives and all with great respect for each other.  If I had to pick one person it would be Beth Young of Waxahachie. She has been a terrific mentor, friend, supporter and confidant.

I want to be just like her when I grow up.
