We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Peer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Savannah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When we started our business, I had no idea what a learning journey it was going to be. I keep thinking, still to this day, that we are so “lucky” to have the success that we do. We have consistent client inquiries, we have been able to scale our business, and we continue to network with some pretty amazing people. But at the end of the day, it truly boils down to drive, mindset, and persistence, not luck at all. I have never thought of our business in terms of “if we were successful.” It was always “when we were successful.” I think the mindset that you have in your business plays one of the biggest roles when it comes to success. I think when you have a business, self-doubt is something that is entirely normal, but being able to push through that even when something feels uncomfortable is a mindset shift. Because of this, we continue to exceed the goals that we set, and I think it says a lot about our business and the success that we have achieved thus far.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When we initially started our business, we did not focus as much on the design and visual aspects, and then more and more requests kept coming in from clients. Fast forward to five years later, and we now take a comprehensive, wholesome approach to create uniquely-designed brands and website designs that connect our clients with their ideal audience. From strategy to creation, we use our expertise and collaborate to understand our client’s story and the passion that pushed them to start their business and combine this with their design needs and business goals to create visual elements that will stand as their brand’s foundation. With client relationships being a priority at our design studio, we follow a seamless design process step by step, keeping the client fully in the loop at each phase to in turn provide a visual presentation of their brand direction, mood board, color palette, logo suite, font system, brand collateral, and website design. Above all else, because of our business we are able to build relationships and connect with so many businesses and entrepreneurs to bring their vision to life, which is by far the most exciting part of our business. When we take a client’s vision from concept to completion, to create a cohesive, authentic brand and web design that reflects their business goals and that they can confidently stand behind, that they are excited about, it’s absolutely the best feeling!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The spring and fall time in Texas are my absolute favorite. We get the best 70 degree weather here during those times of the year. If a friend were visiting, we would definitely have to eat at True Food Kitchen and North Italia. True Food Kitchen makes this to die for Korean Noodle Bowl. I always add salmon to mine and order a honey lemonade on the side. The absolute best! I also love visiting the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. It feels like a breath away from the hustle and bustle, and they have the most amazing pumpkin display during the fall time. If you eat at their Restaurant DeGolyer, you must try to the potato leek soup. It is the perfect, cozy fall dish. We are really into the outdoors, so a lake day and boating trip would have to be thrown in the mix of activities. Hiking at Arbor Hills or boating at one of the many lakes in the area always make for fun times. And then wrapping up with a visit to Spa Habitat always makes for a great staycation.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Although our relationship is fairly new, and we have only been working together for a few months, I have to give recognition to Morgan Rapp. With owning a business, there are so many obstacles that you never imagine you’ll come across, and feeling burnout is all too normal. We hired Morgan as our business coach, and she has been beyond helpful in all matters of balance, scaling our business, and even working through some of the tougher areas that we had been putting off. Because of her, I have so much more confidence in our business, I don’t set limits on the goals that we can achieve, and I now have the creative space and energy, that I so desperately needed, to continue growing our business without smaller tasks bogging down all of my time. She has been inspiring and insightful in so many ways, that I’m just so grateful for.
