We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pamela, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

My thought process for starting my online business, “The -Stack-Goddess.com”, was to create a website with beautiful accessories simply because I have been known all my life as the accessory queen.
My favorite color is Turquoise. I think I fell in love with the color turquoise because I would see my grandmother, a tall beautiful black woman, wear her turquoise rings all the time. Wearing the color always reminds me of her!

Accessories to me can change your entire outfit. It’s an easy and trending way to spruce up any outfit. Wearing multiple bracelets can add pizazz to a simple black dress. Whether you’re fashion conscious or just trying something new, knowing where to start, which piece to choose, what outfits to wear with your stacks or how to get creative can be daunting for most people. But it’s easy for me! I enjoy creating new looks. I love assisting those who want a total makeover.

The difference between style and fashion is quality. Fashion is like food; you should not stick to the same menu. So for me I have always had my own style. I have been in retail since I was 18. I’m now 56 years young. So after making money for a lot of retail companies I decided to make money for me!

What should our readers know about your business?

After over 17 years, I just recently stepped as down from management at a major retail company.   My heart was not in it anymore so the job became overwhelming.  In addition, because of the pandemic, things began to change most importantly, there was more responsibility for less pay.  I’ve always had the entrepreneur spirit so now that I am an ‘empty nester,’ I decided it was time to invest in me.   So, not only am I operating the website, I just started Real Estate classes this month.   During this journey, my trust is in the Lord.  I will not allow fear to stop me from pursuing my dreams.  I will continue operating The Stack Goddess & also looking forward to becoming a successful licensed relator in the state of Texas.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

My new go to spot is the new AT &T Discover District. Its 30-foot sculpture in a spherical shape is the most distinct element in the district. You can spend time just watching the changing screen or venture around the plaza.

I would take them to eat at my favorite place, Jaxon, an oasis in the city’s center.  JAXON serves modern Texas fare and over 34 draft taps sure to please any type of drinker.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom, Aritha Tomlinson, she’s my number one fan!  She helps me with whatever I need help with in running my business.  She goes to all of my pop up events as well!
