We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Deuber MD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mark, why did you pursue a creative career?
Plastic surgery is the field in Medicine I chose to pursue because it is unique in allowing me to combine the meticulous and technical aspects of surgery with my artistic/creative side that is such a big piece of who I am. My creative outlets include photography, cooking, painting and obviously my chosen career. I can’t imagine not having that side of me shine through all of my pursuits.
What should our readers know about your business?
I operate three businesses: a private aesthetic plastic surgery practice (Mark Deuber MDPA), a private aesthetic surgery center (Lemmon Avenue Surgery Center) and a full service laser and injection center (Lemmon Avenue Age Management). This allows me to offer the full spectrum of services to our amazing patients. I have been able to develop this amazing portfolio through a constant belief in what is possible and always making the most of available opportunities. I always try to focus on the what if’s and not the why not’s in life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here in The Dallas/Fort Worth area a weekend itinerary might include visiting the Arboretum on a Saturday morning, the Dallas World aquarium in the west end in the afternoon; maybe head out to the Fort Worth Zoo Sunday. Dinner would be at Nonna Saturday night and Nobu Sunday evening. When things return to a more normal time, a concert, Mavs or Stars game would be great at the American Airlines center. And, of course, I would recommend time for a halo treatment to brighten your face at our laser center!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would shout out to John Tebbetts, MD who’s guidance in my practice development allowed me to get to a place of maximizing efficiency in all of my pursuits so that I can have the best balance of work, family, leisure and passion pursuits.
