We had the good fortune of connecting with Lysette Morones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lysette, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Being consistent and stepping out of my comfort zone has opened so many doors for me. Being myself and staying true to who I am has gotten me recognized. I feel it’s so important to be you. Things flow so much more naturally when you are being yourself! You don’t have to try as hard! My consistency and drive have given me lots of success in all things that I do! Stepping out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to do things that gave me anxiety has also brought me great success! I try to be consistent with my social media, content and marketing. I never used to put myself out there. Social media has definitely played a big role with taking me out of my comfort zone. Making my content brings out a creative side I never knew I had. I actually didn’t realize how much I enjoy making videos promoting myself, informing my clients and just interacting with my audience in general! I’m not as shy the way I used to be! I try to find things that I can relate to when it comes to my marketing strategies. That’s worked out very well for me because it’s a way for me to be myself and interact with my audience! Being consistent in creating relationships with my audience will always be so important to me. I’ve always said “Even though people may not be reacting, they are watching” and it’s so true! People share my content and it becomes a chain reaction from there. So many great opportunities have came my way just because i was being myself and stepped outside my comfort zone. I get invited to pop-ups and so many great networking events! I’m very proud of my milestones because the old me would have never gotten over the fear I always carried! I’m so much more confident with who I am. I’m okay with meeting new people and going to big events, it feels great. I can’t wait to see where this takes me in the future!

I do Powder Brows aka Ombré Brows and I’m obsessed! I’m not in it for the money and I feel like that’s what sets me apart. I love making women feel beautiful. I do this because I love uplifting and empowering other women! You’d be surprised how many ladies come in and make jokes about their brows and then it quickly turns into them pointing out their insecurities. It makes my heart warm just seeing someone smile because I told them they’re beautiful and WHO CARES! It brings me great joy putting a smile on my clients face! I look forward to doing more of this. It makes me so proud as a woman that I can change another woman’s perspective about herself! I have been a counselor at times and built great relationships and friendships just uplifting a client! I LOVE IT! It’s taken a lot of dedication, sacrifice, change and patience to be able to do this…to get to where I am at today. I’ve had to change my environment and the people I was surrounded by. You have to be surrounded by positivity, supportiveness and people who genuinely want to see you make it! You have to be careful of who you chose to have around you at such an important time in your life. The energy can really bring you down and take you off track of what’s really important! My grind is nonstop and it shows. My hard work speaks for itself. Again, consistency has gotten me here. I see something I want and i go after it no matter what’s in my may! I’ve worked so hard and invested so much of my time to make sure everything I do and the work I put out is close to PERFECT! There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears behind it all. I learned a lot throughout my journey. I learned to trust that I’m making the right decisions…to just go for it! I’ve learned that great things take time. I’ve learned to be patient with myself and to let things FLOW…. Not to over think so much! Not everything has to be in order and that’s OKAY. What’s meant for me will come to me! If you want to be successful, you have to let go of the negative thoughts and doubts about yourself. Have more faith that you’re going to be okay, you most definitely can do it and that IT WILL WORK OUT! Trust yourself more! Your environment is important. The people around you play a big role in the path you will take! If you need to change your environment, DO IT! Everything will fall into place after that!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love going to Downtown Dallas during the day and at night to see the lights! Klyde Warren Park is the place to go though! They have food trucks all the time and it’s such a vibe. I love getting food, sitting in the grass and enjoying the fresh air! Downtown Dallas has it all. There’s museums, aquariums, parks, shops.. everything you can think of! I can’t leave out Kokopelli Sweets! They have the best sweets. My favorite is the chocolate bar that has all kinds of assorted chocolates! You can get a bag and fill it up with different kinds of chocolates from turtles, truffles, bark.. you name it! It’s pretty fun! Makes you feel like a kid again!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My fiancé and my sisters! They have given me so much support and encouragement throughout my entrepreneurial journey. They’ve witnessed it ALL! The fear, the doubt, tears.. everything! There were times where I let my emotions get the best of me and there they were. My fiancé has stayed up so many late nights with me just hearing my plans and goals. We sit down and talk about my ideas and there he goes giving me the best advice. He is always pushing me to be great and to block out the negativity. We can be at restaurants and he’d randomly tell me to start networking to put my name and work out there! My sisters are always so happy and supportive in my craziness. They’ve never turned down my ideas. They will tell me how it is and will not sugar coat anything! If they feel something can be better, best believe they are going to tell me. If I need a model, guess what.. it’s them! They are always there for me along the way to cheer me on and I’m so grateful to have them by my side. Anytime I want to do something or have an idea, I immediately call them. I know people hear this one all the time but GOD! The power of prayer is real. I think you have to experience it for yourself to really understand. I have been very blessed to have such a supportive and uplifting fiancé. He’s very involved in everything I do. I’m blessed to have sisters next to me cheering me on and convincing me to JUST DO IT! They are my backbone and I couldn’t ask for a better support system!
