We had the good fortune of connecting with Dreux Wiltz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dreux, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say the success of my brand is solely due to my candidness and authenticity. I take pride in keeping it real and not sugar coating anything with my audience. Growing up in South Louisiana, speaking your peace was encouraged. Showing up as myself and showcasing a woman can be strong in her feminine demeanor while having the career she wants, maintaining a healthy marriage, all while enjoying life gives others hope of the same lifestyle. Everyday I am thankful for my sisterhood and grateful to inspire women to be themselves while putting theirselves first.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My blog was created for those who enjoy exploring, quick and easy home-cooked meals, fitness tips to remain healthy, home decor, and keeping your marriage fresh and interactive. We as women can have it all. Living the life we want while protecting our inner peace is possible. Every day should be a day we try to better ourselves in all aspects. My lifestyle blog goal is to help women reach their full potential an increase all aspects of their quality of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am totally taking them to Legacy West because they have so many impeccable food options and different vibes to set the mood. Plus, what is a getaway without being able to add some retail therapy to the mix. Haywire rooftop is a must and we would head over to either Earl’s Kitchen, Tupelo Honey, or The Common Table for brunch. We could never turn down a hip hop brunch on a Sunday. I can not forget drinks at Mexican Sugar to put a spin on things. Now the big kid in us would visit Andretti for some entertainment. My best friend Amanda and I would kayak on White Rock Lake after a stroll through Dallas Arboretum and have southern lunch at Ida Claire. We love our wine so wine tasting at Barons Creek Vineyard in McKinney is a must. Because we love our adventures Trinity Forest Adventure Park would be a fun filled day to end our trip off on a great note.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Marcus and closest friends Bryan, Amanda, and Latoya deserve recognition for always supporting my aspirations. When I first had the idea of starting a blog my husband thought it was my calling. He assisted with finalizing my design and was my proof reader before posting blogs. My friend Latoya and I spent so much time thinking of names that would compliment my personality and she assisted with my finally logo. Bryan and Amanda were the two I looked too for honest opinions and I knew they would give me constructive criticism that would never steer me wrong. I’ve known them for 10 years and if they felt I was great at accomplishing something they always spoke their truth and were my biggest encouragers. All of their thoughtfulness and support combined during my darkest times pulled me to the light. Also being in a Mentee Mentorship Class with Courtney Brand showed me my worth, potential, and the true meaning of community.
