We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyberty Latham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyberty, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My goal is in my business is to help people feel comfortable in their own skin. Creating a safe place for people to feel like themselves & feel beautiful is what I aim for in every photoshoot. I know that I really struggled with this growing up and when I have clients tell me that I made them feel beautiful or secure, etc when I finish a photoshoot it really makes me realize that what I am doing is worth whatever struggles comes with owning your own business. I think long term I would love to be a full time elopement photographer. I love love so I think tat would just be really cool to capture such an inmate day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a wedding photographer and have been doing wedding photography for about 6 years now! One of the things I am most proud of is the days where my clients tell me they felt like I was a friend to them after a shoot. I truly want to make people feel comfortable so it’s always a nice plus to hear that!!

To get where I am today took a lot of trusting the process ha! I was about 19 when I shot my first wedding, and over the last years I have made errors and I have made great choices. During that time gained a lot of confidence in my self and my choices when shooting and that there is no such thing as over communication!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a outdoors gal so a lot of what we do would be outside. I love going to the lake and getting on a boat or getting in a kayak! that would most likely be one of the FIRST things we do! Then maybe some walks though nature preserves in the area. Though out the week we would probably check out some of the best coffee shops in my area, I really love the Wild Detectives in Deep Ellum & Ampersand in Fort Worth!
We would 100% get sushi that week! I am a BIG sushi gal. If we are feeling fancy I’d take them to Uchi in downtown Dallas or we would just go to a small hole in the wall by my home!
A lot of our time would probably be checking out new restaurants together because I am a big foodie!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Kyle, has ALWAYS been supportive of my dreams. From my smallest hobbies live painting to my goals in being a full time photographer, he has been my cheerleader. Being a creative himself I think he understands the struggles that come with owning your own business and trying to make it succeed which is one of the reasons I think he is so supportive.
