We had the good fortune of connecting with Lori D Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lori D, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Silencing the self-doubt. Truly believing that if God has blessed me with these talents and ideas, then a path has already been paved for me; I just need to stay focused and walk in my purpose. There is no such thing as failure-dead ends produce new directions.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve learned to embrace my uniqueness, not fight it trying to fit into a “box” that doesn’t exist. Just because you meet the qualifications for a particular job, doesn’t mean that it’s a good fit for you. Change is inevitable. Be open to it.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I.D.(Dee) and Daisy Moore. My parents. They’re no longer here, but my work ethic definitely comes from them. They laid the foundation upon which I am able to stand.
