We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Lieffers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
After getting burnt out from my food catering business I decided to take a year off and find something I was truly passionate about. I wanted to do something that never felt like actual work. I started painting in August 2018 and my life changed. We converted a boat garage into my studio and this has been the best decision of my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My artworks are generally of larger scale and coveted for their atmospheric qualities, blended hues, and varying luminosity. I work with strong, vibrant and bold colors. I am very proud of the fact that I have sold to people and galleries around the world and especially a renowned gallery in New York. Being an artist is no easy task. In order to stand out from the millions of artists your work has to be unique and you need to work it to get your artwork seen. I have learnt to “Never give up!” and to always create from your heart. I hope the world sees my brand “Artista Unleashed” as artworks that are created with a tremendous passion and a piece of my soul.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico… So depending on the friend’s preferences there is something to do for everyone, beaches, tons of great restaurants, night life that never quits. Fishing, golf, water sports, spas, even camel riding.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family deserves so much credit for where I am at today. My daughter Thea showed me how to use Instagram, my other daughter Kaylee laid out business and marketing strategies. My husband Robert does all the administration, website updates and even builds frames and stretches canvas.
