We had the good fortune of connecting with Latisha – B.A.D Rhodes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latisha – B.A.D, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Los Angeles, CA. (South Central). However I live in Dallas, Tx. My background and upbringing impact me today by being “Bold & Determined” Always believing to strive for greatness even when the next person may count you out!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from other artist is I am a tripple threat lol. I am an artist, actress, and model. I dab in it all even if it’s behind the scenes. From makeup, styling, writing, and more. I most excited about my music. I always had a vibe that music was my way of communicating. For example, expressing a feeling to someone like you have a crush on lol. It took time and patience. Still till this day I feel I am not where I need or want to be. But still striving. I have had bad business, and to me that’s a learning lesson. Just make sure to stand your ground, and know when to many yes people are around you. I would love the world to know about me I am here. I am ready to share my talents, and wanting to inspire young women that comes from a broken house hold as mine. Or have had any doubt in their dreams, and wanting to give up. That the storm does not wash away the land, but just the material things that dont stand firm. With that being said you have a voice “Queens”.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout-out to of course my mother “Linda Looney”. Also, to my big bro Michael. They both always believe in me 110%. Get mad at me even when I am not going hard enough. I want to shout-out “Phenom on the Beat” Christopher Evans. This men deals with me daily and shows so much support with my music and talents. I have to thank of course all the photographers I have and will have the opportunity to work with in the future ( Doug, KustomVision, Dave Dancer, Errol and to many to name lol). Of course to Derek La Craze for opportunities in short films. Not only that Xavier producer of “Fantasy Divas Dallas” & Phases. And the one and only “God” If I miss anybody know I appreciate your support!!!
