We had the good fortune of connecting with Jose Nogueras and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jose, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process has always been to have something of my own. To better myself and leave a legacy for future generations, and to teach that hard work really does pay off. As long you keep staying consistent on all aspect of the business you’re trying to build. It’s a lot of work and it’s not easy, but staying persistent and watching your business vision come to life is priceless.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art started with barbering. To give someone a nice clean fade or haircut, making them look good and feel good when they get off my chair is very rewarding. I’ve always said, if you’re good at something make it your passion, I study everything from the most simple hairstyle to a fade that is trendy. Never stop learning because the industry is always evolving and changing, which lead me to learn Scalp Micropigmentation, a non-surgical procedure cosmetic tattoo that gives the illusion of pigment on the scalp. To make someone feel confident about their appearance when their scalp is thinning, have scars or gone bald. As a barber I made people feel good on how they looked, but with SMP Artist I brought confidence that people had lost because of some hair loss. I want the world to know that I’m here to help them feel great by looking great.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to take friends and family to downtown Fort Worth. Hang out on Sundance take pictures, go to the Stockyards and eat Mexican food at Joe T Garcia. Later on have drinks on 7th street at really cool spots like El Chingon and eat tacos.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout goes to my wife Ashley Nogueras and my family. I couldn’t ask for a better partner, that support and sees the vision that you have to grow in this world. My wife and family are the fuel that keeps me going day to day, to give them the best and show them that we can do great things together. Also I want to do a shoutout to my marketing team that took me to a whole new level in my business, Pigment Marketing Pros. They have shown me and push me to build my business for the better. They’ve implemented my vision and made it a reality.
