We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
It comes naturally for me to create. Art to me could literally be anything. I used art throughout my life to express myself in ways that I couldn’t with words. I love how art to me is many categories like music, fashion and even technology. They all go hand in hand. A lot of people can relate to the things you create and that to me is the biggest prize, being able to inspire you’re neighbor is the true win for me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I create anything its heavily influenced by my emotions and all the things that I go through, life expriences is where art comes from. Being Latino, Black and white I grew up differently then most, I could never really relate to a lot of the people around me. My mother also had no gender standards on me growing up which allowed me to be whoever and whatever I wanted to be. That being said it created a lane for me that had never been done, a new blue print. Going through the good and bad of life I always try to remain optimistic with everything and inspiring the things around me to move with love and empathy. I like for it to be translated into my craft and I want people to allow themselves to feel and learn and grow with love from my craft. Life is crazy but we must always remain resilient.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to do in the city, so many good places to eat and so many fun things to do. Anperfect Dallas day to me is Starting at the north park mall and enjoying an ice shopping spree, Also stopping at Buffalo exchange I always find good things there. After that stop by “Kai Thai” restaurant on Mckinney ave you won’t be disappointed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give praise to my friends and family the people that have continued to endlessly support my craft, throughout my life and to present time. It means the world to me and I would not be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for them.
