We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Hand and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
My company Training For Warriors Stockyards strives to be recognized as a trusted brand in the fitness industry for its ability to effectively combine personal development with physical training. TFW Stockyards strives each day to create a community that uses the ideals of TFW (honesty, respect, enthusiasm, brotherhood, self care, passion and caring for others) as a way of self-cultivation that leads to physical health, ethical behavior and a better society. TFW Stockyards positively influences future generations because of its establishment as both a training system and Way Of Life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Coach Jeff here! I lost 50 lbs and kept it off for over 17 years now. Additionally, I have maintained sub 10% body while being a hybrid athlete (endurance and strength based) for the past 10 of those years. I have been a professional health and fitness coach for 12 years now. I love helping individuals reach their fullest potential, both physically and mentally. I grew up in a typical American home that didn’t care much about eating well or physical activity. I know firsthand how difficult and intimidating it can be to pursue life change. I have 4 certification from the National Academy Of Sports Medicine and my Level 1 Precision Nutritional Nutritional Coach Certification as well. Lastly, I hold an Associates Of Applied Science.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to downtown Fort Worth, and Sundance Square. From the the Trinity Trails for physical activity to Reata’s for dining out, there is so much to see, taste and experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out goes to my business and fitness mentor who is also the founder and head coach of TFW – Martin Rooney. I also could not have done this without my wife Ashley and my team of coaches here.
