Meet Jason Priest: Registered Nurse, Personal Trainer and Performance Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Priest and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was unfulfilled living the corporate life and knew I had a lot more value to offer to the world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Dad Bod Health we pride ourselves in getting healthy and fit without sacrificing burgers or beer. Essentially we love to enjoy life and have designed a system that allows our clients to get healthy while still enjoying life. One thing that sets us apart is that we do not fixate on diet and exercise. We help our clients implement and establish a system which focuses on what we consider the four core pillars of health. Those being sleep, stress management, nutrition and fitness. We believe once you dial in all four core pillars the sky becomes the limit for you in terms of health.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love downtown Dallas and there is so much to do. I am a foodie and love burgers, Mexican food, IPA beer and margaritas. We would definitely go out to eat every day with the expectation of gaining a few pounds since it was a special occasion. But that’s the best part about the Dad Bod Health system is that one week of poor eating choices won’t sabotage your long term progress. A few restaurants we would visit are Iron Cactus, Rodeo Goat and Pecan Lodge. We would probably make our way out to Ft. Worth and go to Joe T. Garcia’s patio and attend a concert at Billy Bob’s. We would also try out several food trucks at Klyde Warren Park.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my wife for standing beside me in the worst of times and the best of times. I would also say my mastermind group (Apex) who has provided me a ton of support along the way.
