We had the good fortune of connecting with Ian Burse and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ian, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I actually made this brand to promote my video/photography business. I wanted to market a brand and grow it in order to do it for other companies. Of course, i wanted the name to be nice and clean. Even though it was made to progress my first business, I still wanted it to be a great business. Terra means Earth and Form means to shape. I thought this would be a good name for a brand centered around health and wellness. The brand was going to begin with fitness, but i decided the easiest route would be streetwear first.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This road is never ending. It is a lot of trial and error. A lot of “I figured it outs” and disappointments. I am definitely not very far in the brand, but I finally figured out how to be more creative within the brand. Finances are definitely the biggest struggle currently. I just want people to know that I won’t give up and you shouldn’t either if you have a vision.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take my best friend to Thai Orchid. I love that place lol. I’d also go to The Island Spot. It has good mango drinks and the Jamaican food is fuego. As far as places to hangout that defines Dallas, it’ll probably be Deep Ellum of course. Also, I’d probably go to the art district as well.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank Kinda Makini for the connection! I believe that everyone in our lives is there for a reason. I would love to thank my parents, Ernest and Janet Burse for believing in me. Also, I’d like to thank my sister, Felicia Burse for supporting me as well. I have a lot of friends i’d like to thank, but i don’t want to miss any names. Thank y’all for rocking with me.
