Meet DeShaye Lee | Social Media Coordinator & Brand Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeShaye Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DeShaye, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Initially I just wanted to create a platform for women to uplift an empower one another. After so many setbacks and hard lessons, while dealing with individuals who were supposed to help guide me through my branding process, I began to research and learn things on my own. At this point my mission was to help other entrepreneurs to hopefully prevent them from going through some of the things I went through.
What should our readers know about your business?
In my profession, I feel that how things are handled and presented are extremely important because I am representing someone else’s brand. I am very precise when I do things and I take much pride in that. I feel like that is one of the things that my clients can expect at all times and basis of my success thus far. My biggest challenges now are time management and delegation. There are so many things that I want to do and ideas to execute but there aren’t enough hours in the day. Because I am such a perfectionist, it’s hard to entrust others to take the same pride and precision in executing MY ideas.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband has been the glue that has held it ALL together. Whether it was something financially or just keeping me grounded mentally, he’s had my back 100%.
