We had the good fortune of connecting with De’ Jion Guidry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi De’ Jion, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We impact the world by focusing on raw emotion and authentic human connection. By creating and capturing memories, we allow people to freeze time and truly bear witness to the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being able to experience life and exist in the moment is the most beautiful thing one could do. Everyone has a unique story to share, and Giddy D Photography captures that by focusing on raw, unscripted human emotion. I first picked up a camera as a way to document my own surroundings, which gradually turned into a professional passion as people began connecting with my vision.

I’m most proud of being able to defy my own odds and go out to capture the pure existence of not only myself but others as well. The journey has not been easy; my mental health sometimes stops me from creating, however; when I overcome those barriers, I shoot for the stars. Through this, I’ve learned that you must trust and believe in yourself above all else, and avoid comparing your timeline to others. Ultimately, I want the world to know that Giddy D Photography is about frozen moments of raw honesty, proving that every single person’s existence is worth capturing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
After my best friend arrives and gets all settled in, I’d take them to The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden first. A nice lunch while taking in the beautiful scenery and flowers is the perfect way to kick off the trip.

I’m forever a foodie, so we would spend the week making our way across the DFW metroplex to try different dishes. We’d hit up great food spots from the Mesquite and Garland area all the way to Arlington and Fort Worth.

I also have some amazing local friends out here, so I would bring my visiting friend to meet them. It’s always great when different parts of your life can connect and hang out together.

For some high-energy fun, we’d head to one of our local arcades. Strike + Reel is an amazing experience, so we’d definitely spend an evening there enjoying a movie, food, games, and laser tag. It would absolutely be a trip to remember!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I want to thank God for everything He has done. His strength and grace allows me to continuously create and experience this life.

I am also incredibly grateful to my family and friends for always believing in me. Their ongoing support is deeply appreciated and forever welcomed. Without it, there would be no Giddy D.
