We had the good fortune of connecting with Caddo Lindsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caddo, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
When preparing for college I actually was preparing to go to school for physical therapy. Throughout my time looking at colleges I realized I personally would not be fulfilled. Creating art and theatre is a huge passion of mine, and letting go of that seemed to be letting go of a huge part of myself. So I decided to go into theatre and have not looked back since! I have had a career in theatre as a professional actor, stage manager, and director! It has been very fulfilling to continue to create art in many different ways.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It’s been a long journey with my artistic career! As I’ve mentioned before I’ve been on every single side of theatre professionally. I have performed in musicals and plays, I’ve done stage management and even been a professional scenic artist! Right now I work full time with North Texas Performing Arts in admin and as an educator and it has been fulfilling to continue to bring all of the things I’ve learned to the next generation and learn to be a fully well rounded artistic individual!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite places to eat is Pie Tap pizza! With outdoor seating options, great food, and drinks it’s always perfect for a day out with friends! I also love nature so one of my favorite things to check out is the Dallas Arboretum! I love going there at all times of the year because there’s always something special. Then I would go to uptown because there are always many exciting things going on there

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my assistant director for my next directing project Annie JR with the brand new NTPA troupe in Southlake Paige Price. She is always right by my side, and can finish my every sentence! She is always a talented performer and theatre educator and I’m lucky to have her in my team!
