We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Boston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Gorgeous Prince George’s County, MD, a beautiful, thriving suburb outside of the Nation’s Capitol. Growing up in such a diverse place I encountered people with various jobs, ethnicities, religions, and perspectives. I got a first hand look at our Nation’s most powerful leaders right in my backyard. Seeing so many successful people that looked like me made me certain I could not only dream big, but achieve some of my wildest goals. I was blessed with a very loving, tight knit family who encourages and supports me every step of the way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Since 29 Podcast is about self exploration, love, success, self discovery, failure, rejection, grief, culture, and faith. It was born out of my word of the year for 2024 which is “Execute”. It was time for me to work on a project for myself, using my my creative and artistic knowledge. I was afraid to launch but I had so many great people around me who encouraged me to go for it. I am very glad I did. I have worked in the media for over 10 years so building a brand for myself was new and challenging. I have learned to trust myself, ask the tough questions, think outside of the box, and take risks. You will never learn if you do not try. My podcast honors my late Father, Charles ‘Marty’ Boston. When he was 29 he was a married homeowner with his first child (me) on the way! Our lives look completely different. I lost him when I was 16 so I can’t go to him to answer questions about life, careers, finances, or love. Since 29 is a place we can all learn and grow together and honor those who helped us get to where we are today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am still new to the area so the first thing we are doing is getting on social media for some recommendations. One neighborhood I do love is Bishop Arts. The art, culture, and welcoming vibes there are great. There is also some lovely places to dine. I am also a big fan of street art, statues, and graffiti which there is plenty of in Bishop Arts. When I am in that area I feel like I am back home on the East Coast.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have the most incredible village. God really hand picked every person in my life and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so much love. At the helm of it all is my sweet Mother who challenges, loves, uplifts, and supports me endlessly. I am so grateful to have someone as fierce and fabulous as her in my corner. She always believes in me and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her love. You’re the GOAT DB!
