We had the good fortune of connecting with Latrice Pettaway and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latrice, have you had any interesting or funny online dating experiences?
Online dating can be very interesting. I must admit, I tried it once (or twice) and have some very interesting stories from those experiences. I’ll start by saying that online dating was never successful for me as far as relationships are concerned but I did meet some quirky characters, had a few good dates and a few that I wish I could forget.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I never really considered myself to be a creative or artsy person but I even surprise myself sometimes with some of my creations and ideas. I enjoy bringing the customers designs to life using fruit and chocolate. One thing I’ve learned is to never stop learning. I enjoy researching and digging to find new ideas or a new or different way to do something. My friends are really good about suggesting things to me as well. I want everyone to know that I’m passionate about my business and I thrive on becoming better at what I do. I’m always open to advice.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Oh boy! Now I have to tell everyone about how I don’t get out much lol. First off it depends on what friend is coming and what type of trip they want to have. If they wanted to learn, I’d take them to some of the historic sites in Dallas and we would visit some museums. A visit to the Cowboys stadium for a tour is a must! That’s an awesome experience even if you’re not a Cowboys fan. We would visit Deep Ellum, eat great food and dance at night. If it’s summer, maybe we’ll go out on the lake for a day. There are so many things to do in Dallas that one week may not be long enough.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So there are a few people that saw my visions and kickstarted my business. I have to name my mom as the person who pushed me to make my vision a reality.
