We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Janaè and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mariah, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One affirmation that resonates deeply with me is: “I am a work in progress, and that’s okay.”
This affirmation holds great significance for me as it acknowledges that growth and improvement are ongoing journeys. In the realms of modeling and content creation, there’s often immense pressure to project a flawless image. This affirmation encourages me to embrace my imperfections and view every experience as a chance to learn and grow. It reminds me to be patient with myself and to celebrate even the smallest progress. By accepting that I am continually evolving, I can stay motivated and compassionate towards myself, enriching both my personal and professional life.

My artistry as a model and content creator is a blend of creativity, storytelling, and authenticity. What makes my work stand out is its ability to evoke emotion and connect with people on a personal level.
One aspect I’m particularly proud of is my journey of self-discovery and growth in the industry. It hasn’t been a smooth road to success by any means, but each challenge has been an opportunity for me to learn and evolve both personally and professionally.
Overcoming these challenges has required resilience, perseverance, and a willingness to adapt. I’ve learned to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success and to never lose sight of my vision and goals.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of staying true to myself and my values. In a world that often prioritizes image over authenticity, I’ve made it my mission to remain genuine and transparent in everything I do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As an up-and-coming model and content creator based in Dallas, I’d curate a week-long experience that blends the city’s vibrant culture with unique photo opportunities. We’d start with city exploration, capturing iconic landmarks like the Dallas skyline and Deep Ellum’s street art. Our itinerary would include visits to trendy cafes and boutiques for stylish shots. Cultural immersion would involve museum visits and local food markets for diverse content. We’d also escape to the countryside for outdoor shoots, balancing nature with urban backdrops. Fashion-forward outings and rooftop dining would showcase Dallas’s chic side, while spa days and wellness retreats would offer relaxation and wellness-themed content. Culinary delights would involve food tours, sampling Dallas’s diverse cuisine. Throughout, I’d document our adventures, infusing my modeling skills into content creation for social media, blending personal experiences with the essence of Dallas.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to express my gratitude to my loved ones for their unwavering support and encouragement.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Lola Chel, my mentor at Model University. Her guidance has been pivotal in shaping my career, and I am truly appreciative of her support.
I also want to acknowledge my model sisters from Model University: Maxxi, Amber, and Joy. Their friendship and encouragement have been incredibly meaningful to me.
Lastly, I am grateful for the comfort and guidance I’ve found in my faith.
To everyone who has been a part of my journey, your support has been invaluable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there.
