Meet Giselle Moran | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Moran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giselle, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I consider myself a creative and very visual individual. Imagination and creativity begins when you are a youngster, in fact, since I was a kid I have been interested in colors, textures, forms and images, that helped me create harmonic compositions without even knowing it. That passion became a porfession. I went to the University and got my master´s degree in graphic design. There I learned not only the basis that help me understand and refine my techniques and methods, but also the tools that helped me “translate” the idea that my clients may have or not in their mind. Along with this career I started another one in the aviation industry as a flight attendant. This gave me an enormous opportunity to meet very different countries, people, cultures and art, etc. The more I traveled the more I felt the need to share all of this through the photography. For me a photo can capture not only pictures, but moments in life, feelings, messages and art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I consider myself a very normal person that always try not to loose the curiosity. We, human beings should try to find the positive of life, places, and people, and treasure what makes a moment special, For example, if I visit regularly a place I want to catch the different ambience, light, colors, mood, because ever single instant has a very special magic that makes the difference. A very easy example is when you are going to do a photo shooting for somebody, and even if you to the same place every time, you will find all these elements to be different from the last time you were there. And my job and passion is to get the best out of it, making my client happy but also myself rewarded for being able to capture that moment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Dallas, I would say the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is a beautiful place for a shooting or spend the day. Another place that I go to a lot is Deep Ellum, where you find art every where. In Fort Worth the water garden surprised me a lot, and stockyards became a place to take my friends to, when they were visiting. But my favorite thing from Texas, since I came here for the first time, are the susents. The colors and textures of the sky are so refine and unique that I have never been able to take a photo which I am completely happy with and I can say, it is exactly what I´m seeing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friend have been the very center of my life. I am really grateful for all the have given and showed me, always helping me with their wisdom and knowledge.
