We have the good fortune of connecting with so many bright, accomplished folks from a variety of industries and we often ask them to tell us what they feel has been the most important factor behind their success. We’ve shared some highlights below.
Beth Maya Pollok | Entrepreneur & Owner of Table Heirloom
I would say the success of my brand is two fold. First, is the business itself. I take something that has been done before and put my creative spin on it. I lean on my instinct and experience and create what I love. #inspiredbyintuition The second part is customer service. That is not a buzz word, I mean real honest to goodness, old school , customer service. Go above and beyond expectations at every turn. If there is an issue, fix it, no questions asked. Don’t just fix it but exceeded expectations. Make sure your clients are happy. Interact with them if that is the type of business you have. Make sure your clients know you appreciate them. Honesty and integrity is everything. Read more>>
Evan Romrell | Artist and tattooer
The most important factor to myself and my “brand” is authenticity. As long as I produce something it will be an extension of myself and my thoughts. I would never do something without questioning the authenticity of myself and how it is shown through my work. Whether it’s a tattoo or design. It has to be original, and if the idea stems from someone else give credit where it’s due. Read more>>
Kimberly Ann Christensen | Realtor
I claimed what I know! I decided on a product and not just anywhere. I decided on Anna, my hometown! If you truly want to be an expert you must decide what you want to be an expert @. We can’t know all of DFW and truly represent a client well. I know Anna…I am genuinely an Anna expert and it IS my focus. Read more>>

Teamwork! No onen is successful all on their own. I have a great team that has helped me along the way tremendously! My mom is my #1 supporter and I wouldn’t be able to do our live shows without her and my sister. Ruby and Scarlett run our brick and mortar shop and I wouldn’t be able to have it open without them. Jennifer Galvan | Home Loan Originator
For me it is all about finding my “why”. For me I’m here to help and serve others. Also, my family is very important to me and being able to provide a better life for them than I had growing up is huge. Helping people buy a home is a very emotional process and when you communicate to your clients that you care about them and are there to help them provide a home for their family you create relationships and clients for life. I don’t really pay for any marketing currently and have grown my business based on 100% referral business. Past clients telling their family and friends about me and referring them to me. Because at the end of the day I am there to help them from the beginning of the process through the end and even beyond closing. Read more>>
Monica Stanley | Chief Strategy Officer & Creative Director
I would say being flexible in our approach and being willing to be a bit less staunch and bring in some fun and humor to a brand in an industry that is traditionally formal and stuffy (financial services). We are a small team and we try to leverage one another’s strengths and most of our roles stretch beyond a single silo like you might have in a larger organization. We adapt and change strategies operationally, investment-wise, and in regards to marketing depending on what we see in the landscape. A financial firm’s product is really the “people”. So your brand is you and your team. Our brand is successful largely due to the efforts of that team, from sales, to operations, to marketing. Read more>>
Haniya Winkler | Cookie Decorator
Without a doubt, I believe that the most important factor behind my success thus far is the quality of my product! I have worked really hard to make the best-tasting sugar cookie recipe because I wanted my cookies to not only look good but also taste good. A lot of my clients refer me to their friends because of the high quality of my cookies and it is one of the main reasons I’ve been able to keep a large percentage of my customers! Read more>>
Mirella Diosdado | Balloon artist & Instructional Coordinators Secretary
I believe our business is successful because our team truly love’s what we do. We love creating the perfect balloon installs for all special occasions. We have been a small part of such special moments in our clients life’s. From celebrating a baby shower, to returning a year later to help celebrate baby’s first birthday. We no longer consider them clients but more like family. Some day’s are far from easy, from going to bed at 2 a.m. making sure we have everything ready to being out the door before sunrise – but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Read more>>
