We had the good fortune of connecting with Yale Bernadotte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yale, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Dempag is based on exceptional customer service. While there are many great companies that can provide you with wonderful photos or a DJ that does a good job, Dempag goes so far beyond the “basics”. Quite literally, we’ve got your back. Weddings are such complex events and it requires a team who can truly run your day and make it happen just as you want it to. Taking great photos is seriously one of the easiest parts of a wedding. When a couple becomes part of the Dempag family, they have a team of people who will make sure things go smoothly from start to finish and THAT is what has kept us growing each and every year.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Dempag was started out of a love of weddings. The love, joy, tears, even the chaos. Every time I think I’ve seen it all someone surprises me. From early on I knew that weddings was what I wanted to focus my business on from the photography and the DJ perspective. COVID has definitely changed the game a little but since we offer so many things we can adapt to the current business climate and still provide people with an amazing, intimate and memorable day. Instead of succumbing to the pandemic and letting my business fail, I went the other direction and actually expanded. By adding a party bus to my services I was able to take people to amazing locations, capture the day through photos and video and truly give them a day that they will forever cherish. So instead of cancelling a wedding, they instead had something far more meaningful and special.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The entire area is amazing! During the summer I really love going to Minnehaha Falls, getting a great micro brew and listening to a good band play but still, nothing beats a quick trip to the north shore! I’ve travelled to many exotic locations for weddings but the north shore is still one of my favs.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sorry, I did this one all on my own.
