We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Trevor Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Trevor, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind our success have been faith, persistence, and courage. My wife, Bailey, and I started our chiropractic practice with the mission of helping many families through neurologically-based chiropractic care. We knew it was a risk in opening a practice right out of graduate school, but we felt confident it was the right step to take. Many people told us we were “crazy” to open a business at such a young age and that we should go “learn the ropes” from someone else first, but we knew that we had put in the effort and hard work during chiropractic school to make it work! Our faith in God, each other, and following our calling lead us to take the leap and open up Vertical Chiropractic in October 2017. We have been tremendously blessed to serve so many great people in this community. There have been many road bumps and setbacks along the way, as with any business, but having the courage to get up each day and face the challenges ahead have only made us stronger as a couple at home and in the office. We are grateful for the challenges we’ve faced because each one has taught us a lesson that most people our age have not gotten the opportunity to learn. We plan to persist in making Vertical the best it can be, through faith and perseverance, in order to serve our community with excellence for as long as we possibly can.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We own Vertical Chiropractic here in Southwest Fort Worth. Vertical Chiropractic is a neurologically-based chiropractic office that focuses on serving people of all ages through gentle and specific chiropractic care. Our mission is to help as many people as possible reach their highest level of health, naturally. What sets apart our office is the loving atmosphere that our team seeks to provide, along with the results oriented techniques our doctors use. We want every person that walks through our doors to feel welcomed, heard, and cared for in their health journey. We are not perfect, but we do our best to strive to give each person the best experience possible when it comes to visiting a healthcare office. Our technique, Torque Release Technique, is also very unique in that our doctors use a nerve-based analysis to determine where and how to adjust the spine, while utilizing an instrument to administer the adjustments for our patients. This technique allows our doctors to provide chiropractic care to the spine in a very gentle and specific manner. There is no twisting or popping involved. We’ve been fortunate to establish ourselves as a family friendly office over time, by forming relationships built on trust with our patients. We see chiropractic care as a vehicle for people to get healthy and stay healthy by maintaining a healthy spine and nervous system. Education is a big piece of our office and we want to be a resource of health for each person that trusts us to serve them in our office. Our journey has been a fun ride, but has definitely not been easy. We opened in October of 2017 after several months of delay in opening from hold ups with permits and build out. Through setbacks and challenges, we have learned to focus on what we can control, and everything else will work out as it should. When we finally opened, we had to work extremely hard to build relationships with our community. Only about 17-20% of people see a chiropractor in our society, and we were determined to provide a service that would make a major impact on the health of our community, while also providing a comfortable and welcoming experience. There is so much we would want the world to know about Vertical Chiropractic. If we had to sum it up, we’d say that we want every person who seeks out care in our office to feel welcomed and loved from their initial interaction through every visit they have with us. We feel blessed to serve people across the entire span of life, from infants that are days old to geriatrics in their 90s (our oldest patient is 100!) Vertical Chiropractic delivers the best chiropractic care possible, from those that are seeking wellness care, to those at the end of their rope looking for another option in their health journey. We believe that there is hope and that healing can and will take place. We’ve had countless people tell us that we were their last option and have seen amazing changes in their health. Our goal is and always will be to serve God by serving people well at Vertical Chiropractic.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been fortunate to have many mentors and influences in my life. My parents taught me at a young age how to work hard and strive for excellence in everything. My football coaches at Northwest Missouri State helped mold me into the man I am today in many ways. I grew as a Christian and as a man while in Missouri and will forever be grateful for the relationships I developed in my time there. My in-laws have also been very influential in showing me how to be successful in business and at home. Chiropractors: Dr. Kevan Evans, Dr. J Kirk, Dr. Michael Viscarelli, Dr. Jeremy Hess, Dr. Denisa Weber, Dr. Jacob Sims all have impacted my chiropractic journey. I’d also like to give a shoutout to Ronnie Doss. He has been a personal mentor/ mindset coach to me over the past 5 years and has helped me through many hurdles with business and practice. AMPED is a chiropractic group I’ve been apart of and has taught me so much about working hard and setting up a practice in order to be successful out of the gate.
