We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Donaldson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you are the only you. Even if there are a hundred other people that do what you do, no one does it exactly like you or has the exact same experience as you. So, get out there and do the thing you’ve always wanted to do! It’s okay to be afraid – use that fear to fuel you!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a graphic designer and social media marketer who specializes in helping theatre makers. I think what sets me a part from others in my field, is my experience. I’ve taken my knowledge from both worlds of theatre and marketing to be able to “tailor” my offerings and help my clients showcase their best online and in person.

I am most proud of the work I’ve done to help inspire the next generation. I love children’s theatre and have just completed a fundraising campaign to raise over $18,000 to go towards bring the arts to children.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would probably start out by going to Cherry Coffee Shop on Magnolia before showing them all that Fort Worth has to offer. We would definitely have to hit up a brewery with some live music or a show at a local theatre like Upright Theatre in Euless! Since every day would start with a different treats, we’d also have to go to Lazy Daisy and of course find a pop up to get some sweet treats from Merienda Monster. We would also have to take a trip to CocoAndré in Bishop Arts to get some delicious horchata!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today with out the love, support, and teaching of my college professors, Riley Risso Coker and the late Dell McLain. And Taylord would still be an idea if it weren’t for Wendy and Chad Vaughn and Louann and Chuck King. I am also very thankful for my great friend and fellow small business owner, Mindamora Rocha for being one of my first clients.
