We had the good fortune of connecting with Suzette Munson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Suzette, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Love 41 gives 100% of its profit away to help single moms, widows, and orphans around the world. Our Motto is…Changing Lives Together With Leather! Love 41 started an American school in Mexico to give excellent education for all demographics.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think the most important thing is to find out where you really “Shine” professionally. I see so many people working in an industry or pursuing a career that is far from their natural giftings or things they enjoy. . From an early age, I knew I loved fashion and decorating. I didn’t realize it was my gifting at the time but I would have my friends ask me to put wardrobes together for them or help them decorate their rooms. Now, to be able to use these skills to run a company and have a greater purpose in helping others was even more exciting and is what drives me to success. Find your calling, use your given talents to pursue your career. Love 41 is a story about two sisters who wanted to make a difference and didn’t take “No” for an answer. It wasn’t an easy road, but knowing that you were making a difference in others’ lives made it all worth it. Plan for the future, work hard, be diligent and pray daily. God truly was our helper along the way and he gave us strength, endurance, and wisdom when we needed it the most and continues to do so to this day.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to see the rodeo and take them to the stockyards. It’s important to take them to the best BBQ around since this is a true Texas food item. It’s called Risky’s BBQ, which has a stamp of Ft. Worth Texas all over it. I’d take them down to Sundance Square for some good entertainment, food, and shopping.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Two things.. The Bible is my number one foundation and rock and where I go to give me inspiration. Number Two, my sister Tina is more than my right hand but she has covered the many areas needed to run a business. She knows how to put on multiple hats which have been priceless to run this business.
