We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Nadine Robles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie Nadine, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Photography seems way easier than what it is. I mean I used to think this myself before getting into it. There are so many things you learn about a camera.after studying the camera you must learn light. Then editing, which editing for me is very time consuming. I literally spend 30-40 minutes per image or so in just editing. This is why I base my pricing on my time. Preparing before a photoshoot is also time. I always try to arrive to my photo sessions minimum 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the shoot. I mean I can go on and on about time haha.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m not truly sure what sets me apart. I’d love for anyone who sees this and knows me to let me know lol! All I know is that this photography thing happened so randomly. I didn’t think twice about it I just jumped into it without knowing anything! A lot of time I can’t express that enough. Late nights, sleep deprived just searching the net and learning about photography. I think when you have a passion you will just go for it, that is how I knew I was passionate about photography. This has not been easy, photography has brought me to my knees crying. I just couldn’t take it but by the grace of God I was able to continue pushing.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t really go out so I wouldn’t know this one. I am a homebody. Usually just visit family members and back home I go. I do love Texas Roadhouse though! Also exciting to me is when I get to hang out with anyone who shares the same amount of love I do for Jesus. So if you love Jesus, let’s be friends! I love hearing testimonies!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh man this is a good question. I have to give most of the credit to God. If you know me, you know. I mean I never had passion for anything. Not to be a doctor, dentist, or even school. I stopped working after having my son and soon after I found my passion for photography. I believe everything happens for a reason and things fall into place not how me planned but how God planned for us. There is a verse, “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord”. I believe this is what God had planned for me and this also gives Glory to his name. Also a very huge shoutout to my husband. He is been my number one supporter since the beginning. He bought my first camera, he goes with me to all of my sessions. He also invests and invested so much of his time/money and I am forever grateful. He is for sure another one of my gifts from God.
