We had the good fortune of connecting with Steph Bolton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steph, what can you share with us about who Covid-19 has affected your business?
Covid-19 created an opportunity for me to help other entrepreneurs with education. My plan has always been to offer online webinars, consultations, and digital material. It also helped me to help others out by teaching video editing tips or editing their footage. Covid-19 with social distancing made me unable to shoot events and portraits in the traditional sense. I miss the interactions with people, especially at events. So this was a big part of my business, however, it seems that I am still able to create awesome relationships online as well.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a photographer, videographer, and speaker I bring a very chill vibe to my work ethic. I have been commended for my patience and understanding. Being the oldest of four children, my youngest sibling having Autism, I gained this skill. My attitude whenever there is a perceived “issue”, is that “I don’t have a problem, I have a challenge”. It is all about perspective. I carry this with me with every client I have or when I am educating my audience. I hear people say “I’m not technical” and it’s all about your attitude. I want people to know that when they work with me, relax, it’s like going to happy hour. You can let your hair down, sit at the bar, and have some fun conversation. I am going to listen to you and bring your vision to life and teach you a few tricks along the way.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I love hanging out in Dallas, there are sooo many great spots to check out! Most definitely on my list would be Bishop Arts and Deep Ellum. I love stopping by for a great margarita at Gloria’s patio if the weather is nice. Then stop by Emporium Pies. In Deep Ellum I would take all the photos possible with all the beautiful murals. I would also take them to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Arboretum to see all the beautiful flowers.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am soo thankful for my family, friends, mentors, and business coach. Many of these I have met online within these past few years and it has been wonderful. Many of these people I run all my ideas by and I’m sure sometimes they are like OMGGGGG!!! Pleaseeee stoppp! However they don’t lol! So it means the world to me to have that support and my life has been forever changed by each and every person in my circle.
