Meet SP Juice | Artist/CEO/Rapper/Mogul

We had the good fortune of connecting with SP Juice and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SP, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Proverbs 22:29 It says “ Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.“ To me this quote is a promise, and at times this promise is the only thing that keeps me going. If I keep hustling, and putting my heart and soul into my craft, eventually I will get to that level where you need to be of high rank to even get access to me. It says that if you put in the work, eventually the universe will reward you with a payoff. And that is the only promise I need to have faith and keep pursuing my art.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is telling stories about me and my friends, my family and my life through music. I then translate the music into videos and release those as well. What sets me apart is my dedication (I’ve been in the game since 2012) , my work ethic ( I can’t go more than two days without getting in the studio or writing music ) and my hustle , because the second I walk in a studio my goal is to create at least 3 songs. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is that it doesn’t happen overnight. Growth happens slowly at first and then exponentially, but it can’t be rushed or forced. Take the wins, take the losses, take the lessons. Take everything that comes with it. It will build you and make you well rounded. What I want the world to know about my story is that everything I ever write or rap, is 100% genuine. It either occurred to me, or I was there when it happened. I’m from one of the poorest places in the world but am now seeing success in one of the best countries you could live in. I started from the bottom and have came up a long way. My story of course is still being written, so tune in.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my people are in the city, the first spot I’m going to take them is to Brunch. We will either go to Union Kitchen on Washington for their 1 cent mimosas or we will go to Phil & Derek’s for the vibe, it’s a black owned restaurant that plays great music. We have to visit Chama Gaucha Brazilian steakhouse at least once (the one on Westheimer) they love me there and I’ve even shot a music video inside ( The last Supper ). Besides that I love RA sushi in the memorial city area, I love snooze @ La Centerra in Cinco Ranch, and I love to go drink at prospect park. For the night life we will either hit up the address , seaside lounge, O2 lounge, Vienna or a number of other after hours spots. It will definitely be an experience coming out with me and the gang
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to dedicate a shoutout to two or three people. Without these people my music and my vision wouldn’t have ever made it from my note pad into existence. I don’t owe anyone in life except my parents and God, but these individuals are definitely people I would love to pay back in the future. The first is MistaBradley , my friend who I consider family. He has had a hand on every single piece of music I have ever released, whether he has produced the beat ( you can hear his producer tag on almost every single project I’ve released) or he mixed and mastered the song (he has mixed and mastered every single song I have released) to even making the cover art. Without My brother Brad, there is virtually no SPJuice music , so there is no SPJuice. Second would be my friend Ryan (RC3). He shoots a majority of my videos and when I first started shooting he showed love on the prices and would be down to work w me whenever. To this day we maintain a close relationship and we root for each other’s success as he has been going crazy as a YouTuber, Tik Toker, Instagrammer and an influencer overall. (He goes by ryanthecrashdummy he is one of the coldest to ever do it! ) and lastly would be one of the co founders of my record label, Iweh. He has produced and engineered songs with me since 2012, we basically jumped into this game together. But before that, he’s always been a brother to me and he’s probably my closest friend on earth. Without those three people , I don’t know if y’all would have ever heard of who SPJuice is.
