We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaunie B and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaunie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
When I hear the word “risk” I compare it to “fear”. (an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.) Fear is designed to make you complacent. Makes you very pessimistic. It changes your ability to see the greatness you possess. You can’t buy talent. Majority of my life “fear” led my life. I asked myself the same questions for every situation. What if I fail? What if people give up on me? What if they laugh at me? Is this a waste of time? I live by the motto “Y.O.L.O” (you only live once). I got tired of seeing everyone else around me winning at pursing their dreams and taking a “risk” and me being miserable “playing it safe”. I started living by the quote, “The biggest regret a person will have in life is making the mistake of never trying at all.” Tomorrow is not promised, and if my time is near I don’t want to leave this earth not living life to the fulliest. So you ask, what role has taking risk played in your life/career? I am hear to tell you that fear no longer exist! Nerves will always be there. I’ve conditioned myself to understand that I am gifted and God didn’t make any mistakes blessing me with this gift to provide laughter and entertainment. I am a natural! Every idea that comes to my head I organize the idea and execute it. Nothing is impossible. Challenges are beneficial towards my growth. Taking Risk is a way to kick “fear’s” ass and steer your full potential. When in doubt tell yourself “what is for me is for me” !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a well rounded entertainer. I perform standup, bartend, host events, I am a social media vlogger, radio personality, YouTube partner and a social media brand influencer. What sets me apart! I am always giving a different piece of my talent. I pride myself on being versatile and not a one trick pony. Just know you will get a full dose of petty, a scoop of realness, and you have to stay on your toes for The UNannounced and The UNpredictable. People ask me daily, how did you become so successful? How did you gain all of those followers? The answer is easy: -you have to be passionate in what you are doing – you have to be consistent -you have to be humble and say thank you -you have to hold yourself accountable when setting goals and following through -you have to have BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and SPEAK LIFE INTO YOURSELF – keep all squares outside of your circle (meaning separate your true supporters from your nay sayers) Was it easy? Hell no! But being discipline and blocking out distractions you can overcome EVERYTHING! I want people to know that Shaunie B Entertainment will be famous! Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas has some hidden gems! (Outside of this corona pandemic social distancing regulations) I love spa days, going to the best  Restaurants and bars, hover boarding, paint balling. Closing the day out by sipping wine and catching up on old memories with friends

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my comedic journey, I want to shoutout these epic comic mentors who believed in me and took me under their wings: Rashawn Jones, Misty Scott, Derrick Jack, and Big Husky. I owe  all my love to my social media followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. The feedback is always positive and this is why I go so hard at producing my craft. I appreciate you, my Shaunie’s Pooh’s!

To my husband Mac I love you with all of my heart and my handsome son baby P. They are the heartbeat to my hustle and grind. To my friends and a small handful of selected family members thank you for never giving up on me. God thank you for my life, my talent, and my continuous existence.
