We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosalyn Grayson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rosalyn, how do you think about risk?
When it comes to taking risk. I think about how is this going to affect my life/career as a whole. Is the risk worth taking? Things of that nature. I do feel that risks help you grow to be the best you. If you don’t allow yourself to try something that’s out of your comfort zone then you will always remain stagnant. Risks, in my opinion, builds character, strength, and resilience. I’ve learned from my failures as well as my victories. I don’t think I would be the woman I am if I hadn’t taken various risks.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My patience has always been the thing that makes me stand out. I don’t allow someone attitude to alter my attitude or feelings. I’m pretty good about keeping my cool in not so happy situations. My journey hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve been very resilient through it all. Through the not so great times, I’ve always prayed and asked God for guidance. I don’t quit or give up. I push through the hard days. I would like the world to know that you’re as strong or as great as you allow yourself to be. Don’t sell yourself short, and take risk along the way.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents have played a major part in my success in my life. They have always been by my side cheering me on, telling me that I can do anything I put my mind to, and to always keep God first. My close friends as well. We support each other in all of our achievements. Lastly, would be books. I’ve always loved reading. I have too many favorites to list just one.
