We had the good fortune of connecting with Rogers Healy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rogers, how do you think about risk?
In both life and business, I’m a firm believer that you won’t get anywhere exciting without signing onto some risk. It can be a scary and daunting thing no doubt, but ultimately in order to find yourself at a place of earned happiness and respect, you have to have the guts to embark on the unknown. Time in and time out I’m going to bet on myself – that’s just the kind of person I am and how I operate. The decision to pursue real estate and put myself out there is just one example of how I’ve wagered money, time and reputation in the name of drive.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Rogers Healy Companies are a full-service real estate, relocation and property management companies – any need anyone could ever have in the world of real estate we have a solution for. Moving internationally for work and need to get the beloved family dog to Singapore? Eyeing your first home purchase in Frisco? Looking to make your first or tenth property investment in North Texas? We’ve got you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Even before 2020, my house is my happy place. My wife and I have a room dedicated to music, and you can find us there every single day spinning one of our newest vinyls, or listening to one of our classic Marvin Gaye albums. Music is food for the soul, and I feel like we all need it now more than ever.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a shoutout to Don Henley, Dallas’ very own rockstar and philanthropist. It’s a life goal of mine to become buddies with Don Henley. He is after all, the greatest leader of all time, of the greatest group of all time – The Eagles. A drummer, who leads his team, all while letting them have the glory and the stage presence? That’s the kind of leader I want to be.
