Meet Rishunn Mccaleb

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rishunn Mccaleb and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rishunn, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Born and raised in a small town in Mississippi. Indianola was right in the heart of Mississippi. Growing up, I was always surrounded by family. Very small town, and I lived right next door to my grandparents. I remember the community for sure. My childhood memories was filled with being outside, exploring, and playing with my friends. It wasn’t too much we could do besides sports. We got into all the sports.
Being from Indianola taught me the values of compassion, hard work and relentless effort of course, how to embrace change, but most importantly finding purpose!!
Since it was so small and everyone knew each other it was always easy to lend a helping hand when needed. Family or friends everybody was somewhat kind to each other.
The hard work came naturally because all we had was sports. Or the street life. I wasn’t the best of all my friends but I wanted to be the best so I was the one always working and improving. The hard work part just became a part of me.
Leaving my hometown taught me the relentless part. Once I went off to college to play ball seeing how I was more less fortunate than others, that put a different taste in my mouth. I was more ambitious for that matter alone. Moving to Dallas change my entire perspective. The new opportunities, meeting people from diverse backgrounds and really expanding my outlook overall. Those experiences taught me the value in embracing change.
As I moved through life, I’ve discovered my purpose and passions and found it directly aligned with my upbringing. Whether it was pursuing the career in football, starting a business, or just simply being.. I’ve found fulfillment in using the my God given gifts and talents to help people, and make a positive impact. Mississippi taught me that. How you can come from less and still
Make a huge impact on people.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my approach. It’s truly my passion and my purpose all in one. My commitment and unique skills , the creative way in which how I do it. I strive to think outside the box and be different. My ability to adapt to wherever and still be just as impactful. My ability to add value. I value collaborations and really strive to uplift others. That’s the energy I bring along. That’s what makes me different. What I’m most proud of is the meaningful relationship that I’ve built. I’ve knitted some tight strings with a few people and it’s all come through fitness. I’m blessed see the fruits in that way.
Getting to this point all I can say is God made a way. I never gave in or gave up but ultimately it’s all God. Really trusting the process and walking by faith got me here. Believing in my the work I’ve put in and knowing that some day it’ll be worth it. Was it easy.. of course not. Worth it… yes indeed. Most of all the greatest lesson is stay in purpose. Keep the faith and Trust The Process.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We hitting Moxies for sure. First thing we gotta hit the brunch time. Then Cheesecake Factory lol. Or out in Bishop Arts. And yeah a nice fancy espresso martini please. Some good French toast for brunch and that Cajun salmon from Cheesecake Factory. La Reunion in Bishop Arts has the best espresso martinis.
