We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhonda Aka Queen Willingham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rhonda aka Queen, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One I am a “Hand up not a Hand out”, and simply being about my father’s business. Providing for the least of them.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So what sets Making It Count Inc apart from everyone else is that, I was homeless I understand the needs for the people in what I do. So a lot of the organizations and individuals who haven’t actually experienced the true needs, that’s where I step in.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t do it. If I was to have my best friend come in town, they would be introduced to the collaboration of different organizations I work with. We would prepare to go out and feed the displaced and or homeless. Starting with Wednesday Worship Wash Day, then spend time in my home, all at the same time preparing snacks, meals, hygiene for the people in need, and enjoying each other’s company as they visit and lastly prepare for the big feed on Saturday.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give all my recognition to (GOD). He saved my Life.
