Meet Rebecca Morris | Owner of Melanated Intentions

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It was all a dream literally, I was going through one of the toughest times in my life where I was questioning my purpose and where my life was going. Finding an outlet to express my creativity is truly what saved me. I began making candles as a distraction to escape my reality, then researching manifesting. I started a self-healing journey that completely changed my mindset from seeing what was once impossibilities to creating my own destiny of endless opportunities.

What should our readers know about your business?
Melanated Intentions is a Mind & Body Wellness shop that offers crystal intention Candles, skincare, and accessories. What sets Melanated Intentions apart from others is that we sincerely care about what ingredients we use in our products and want to make sure our products from candles to skincare products are made of the purest organic ingredients. Our wax is cleaning burning, biodegradable and most importantly It’s renewable, vegan and Non-toxic. I am excited for what’s to come, this last year has taught me so much and it is only up from here. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned this far is that you can’t wait to be invited to the table you, sometimes you have to pull up your own chair and take the seat you deserve. I want the world to see and know Melanated Intentions as the company who helps you change your mindset, set goals and become the person you believe you can be. It’s not just a candle it’s a lifestyle.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Charlotte is a beautiful city we would start the morning with a sunrise hike up Crowder Mountain, followed by brunch at the Artisans Palate. I would plan for us to visit Treehouse Vineyards around sunset to enjoy the view over a great bottle of local wine followed with dinner and drinks at Crave Desert Bar.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to recognize Alyssa Williams owner of Sparrows Crystal Trap House for being a supportive cousin, friend and mentor..
