We had the good fortune of connecting with Quincy Bradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quincy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wish more schools taught the art of self sustainability and business. The fact that it took this long for the common person to understand what it means to be a business owner is a clear indicator that the powers that be don’t want that information shared freely. Creating our own allows us to start creating generational wealth inside of families that would more than likely pass nothing on to the next phase of there family

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Balcony Box is a black owned company from Dallas Texas started by Quincy Bradley and John Sizemore to help inner city people have a chance at learning the art of growing food without having the land. We teach the hacks of growing in a small area like your balcony. The insights we give can one day be translated from your balcony to your garden and maybe to your land mass one day

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First we are going to Bonton Farms to have a farm to table brunch. Then to Deep Ellum to check out the local bars.
The next day we will visit the arboretum and then to the aquarium in downtown.
Waking up Wednesday we would go fishing at Rochester Park and after a good shower head towards North Dallas to visit Adam Mcgough who is the Councilman for District 10.
Later that night we would go to Trees and catch some live music shows right before going to see “The Found” at The Freeman bar and grill
Waffle house would be the move that next morning and the to the Ross Perot museum. Then back to Sunny South Dallas to look at the new garden Quincy just built on Valentine and Bexar st.
