We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscille Ngomege and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscille, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Hello, my name is Priscille Ngomege, I am originally from Douala, Cameroon. I grew up and was raised there for the better part of my adolescence. I moved to Texas when I was 13 years old. One of the biggest things I keep with me wherever I am In life is to stay humble. I came from humble beginnings being raised by a single mom and as I grow into different versions of myself that is the one thing that I keep to myself, that no matter what stage in life I am in, to always remain humble. Humble in God’s vision and plan for me. I always trust in God to pull me through whatever I am going through.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I like to consider myself more of a creative overall than just a model. I do often take on different roles during the creative process, sometimes I am the makeup artist, the creative director, the stylist, etc. When it comes to modeling though I feel that I am slowly but surely creating my own lane. Like I am more than just a pretty face, and Even though on the outside I might not look like you’re typical Victoria secret model I believe I bring a lot more to the table with my poses, and facial expressions. With every shoot I like to tell a story, I am the ultimate muse as long as I understand the vision, I will deliver!

One of the biggest thing I have had to overcome in order to even begin modeling Is self doubt. I used to think I couldn’t possibly be a model because as I mentioned before I don’t looks like your typical 6 foot, skinny built model. But I had to get that notion out of my head. The notion of Letting fear control me and asking myself what ifs, so I just went for it. I started reaching out to photographers if they would want to collaborate with me and most of them said yes! The crazy thing is before I actually took the steps to start setting up shoots and putting myself out there. So many people would tell me “you look like a model” or “I bet you’re a model” people saw this thing in me before I saw it in myself. I think that also speaks to trusting God and his plans for you. Sometimes a goal seems so far off that you don’t know how you can ever accomplish it but when it is in God’s will, it will come to past!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am not going to lie, I am extremely introverted and don’t go out much. Though I have lived in Dallas for about 10 years now I am not much of a city person. I also don’t have a whole lot of friends in the city, most of my friends are in Houston but if a friend was visiting I’d say we will probably go thrifting at Texas thrift or Texas giant, those are my two favs. And then go get some boba. Later on at night go to a cute restaurant in the city, dress up and take some pictures.
