We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela D. Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pamela D. , can you tell us about a book that has had a meaningful impact on you?
Fervent by Priscilla Shirer. I liked it because my ministry is prayer and this book went deep into explaining how to pray fervently. The book enriched my prayer life and caused me to become more strategic with prayer.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Christian Author and Publisher. My books spread the gospel, help others increase their faith and enhance their prayer lives so that they are living purpose driven lives. I also help other aspiring Christian authors self publish their books so that they can enhance their ministries and have something tangible that they can use to witness and win souls. The thing I want the world to know about me is that I believe in the power of prayer. So often when we think of ministry or minister we automatically think “preach” but I’m commissioned to pray and to teach others how to pray fervent prayers so that they can develop that intimate relationship with God.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots in the city of Dallas where I would take visiting friends are Mokara Salon & Spa inside of the Omni Hotel for a massage, dinner at Del Frisco’s or Truluck’s, a day event at Joe Pool Lake, Trinity Groves-I love the different restaurants and live entertainment there, as well as the Cake Bar, shopping at North Park, and any bowling alley that’s open and serves lemonade!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my husband, children, mother, sister & brothers for supporting my destiny. I was called to this and it’s different and requires a different level of dedication and devotion and they support it 100%. I also want to shoutout some spiritual soldiers who cover me in prayer, encouragement, and who call me out when I’m in error: Pastor Tanya Patton, Monica Spencer, Minister Katrivia Barber-Straughter.
