We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Puritz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
This may seem like a simple answer, but—being myself. I think especially in the real estate business, it’s easy to start comparing yourself to others. You see someone seemingly successful in the business, and you want to emulate everything they are doing. While I think it is good to be inspired by others, there is a safe place to do so while continuing to carve your own path. People sense when you aren’t being authentic to yourself, and at least for me, I never want to come across as disingenuous. There are so many realtors in the DFW area, so you have to figure out what sets yourself apart and people will naturally gravitate to the truest version of yourself.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets my real estate business apart from others is my dedication and relentless commitment to helping others in their real estate journey. I believe in going the extra mile, always putting my clients’ needs first, and leveraging my expertise to make this a comfortable place for my clients in such a major decision.
I am most proud of and excited about the new real estate team I started last year—PURE Realty Group. I have such a passion for mentorship and guidance, and I want to extend my knowledge and expertise I have in this business into helping others grow theirs. I am a big believer in community, a mindset of abundance, and building others up in this industry.
Getting to where I am today in my real estate career was not easy. This industry continues to change while you’re constantly navigating through a rollercoaster real estate market. But when you have a passion for something, you learn how to adapt to those challenges. Despite what others may think, this industry is mentally tough, so it matters who is in your corner, and making sure you stay positive and really believe in yourself. Confidence certainly came with time in the business and overcoming those inevitable difficulties.
I want people to know that my goal in this business is building genuine relationships and trust with clients. Helping others achieve their dream of homeownership is not something I take lightly, and earning that trust is the biggest compliment. I know real estate agents can often have a negative “salesy” reputation, but I am honest and loyal to the core, and always want my clients to feel safe in knowing I have their best interest at heart.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Dallas and all the fun things to do around town! The Bishop Arts district is one of my favorite areas! There are some really great boutiques for some daytime shopping and dinner and drinks at Paradiso. I think the Perot Museum is another great place to check out and is such a unique experience for adults and children. My favorite tex-mex restaurant is Ojeda’s, the sour cream chicken enchiladas are THE best! A great dive bar to visit is The Grapevine Bar–they’ve been in business for over 25yrs and is a great place for a quirky, fun time!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my incredible real estate brokerage, Monument Realty. My success in this industry wouldn’t be where it is now if I didn’t have their support and encouragement. I have met some of the most wonderful, inspiring people that have truly become like family to me. Beyond blessed to work for such an amazing company!
