Meet Mark Hayes | Founder of Sector Counseling

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mark, how does your business help the community?
Sector Counseling is dedicated to strengthening the community by making mental health therapy more accessible and financially attainable for individuals and families from all walks of life. By removing barriers to quality care and creating supportive, compassionate spaces for healing, the company believes that mental wellness should never be reserved only for those who can easily afford it. Mental stability is not a luxury — it is a fundamental human right, and Sector Counseling is committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the support they deserve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Building Sector Counseling was not an easy journey. It was inspired by years of working in the fields of mental health and substance abuse treatment and witnessing firsthand how many people are overlooked, underserved, or forgotten when they need help the most. Seeing individuals struggle without access to proper care revealed how deeply mental health challenges impact every part of our community — from children and families to those experiencing homelessness, as well as the first responders and veterans who carry the weight of serving others every day. These experiences created a passion and purpose to build a business committed to providing compassionate, accessible support for those who are too often ignored.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Everything from the 6th Floor museum, Reunion Tower “the ball”. Or really any of Dallas’s fine restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to provide a huge shout out to my wife Katie Hayes in how she supports myself and our children in accomplishing our dreams and goal while hopefully benefiting those around use and our community.
