Meet Mac McClellan | Bodybuilder, Investor, Meal Prep Services

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mac McClellan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mac, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I come across many people asking me this exact question. I think I’ve been answering it the same since I was a junior in my high school Avid class. When I leave this world I want to be remembered as a helpful, strong and giving person. I wrote down on paper that I wanted to impact and help a million people before I die. That’s in whatever way that I can. In this exact moment, it’s teaching people about nutrition, motivating to choose healthier lifestyles and providing my meal prep services.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
2016-2017, when I was in college I put on about 40lbs of fat. Eating uncontrollably, no longer playing sports and being homesick were major contributions to that. 2018 I started using the school rec, meal prepping and ended up losing 50 lbs. Not going to lie it was a crazy transformation. That weight loss is the foundation of who I am and what I do today..I’m glad that I disciplined myself, followed a plan and got myself together. After the transformation I started to grab attention on Instagram because of it and my new lean/fit look. Everybody would always ask “what do you eat” ? After probably telling hundred of people the same thing I grew annoyed and it was in 2020 that I started the meal prepping. I figured that some will actually take my advice or take it and not know how to cook haha ! So, I saw a business opportunity to start not only telling people what I ate, but providing the same exact meals already cooked for them.
Of course there was a shut down that year and things were slow, 2021 I picked back up and was only providing to my clients I trained. It wasn’t until 2022, when I figured out most people knew how to workout, but just needed the nutrition. You could workout a million times a week, but if your diet isn’t right it would mean nothing.
I always tell people the meals I provide aren’t to make you lose/gain weight. Can you lose/gain weight from eating them ? Yes, you can. That isn’t my main target. My main objective is to provide people with precooked healthy meals to help them follow their plans. Good nutrition can help in many ways; helping someone become discipline, health issues, save time they don’t have to cook, and gain/ lose weight…etc. I just want to help assist people live better happier and healthy lives.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most of my friends are fitness people or investors. So, we spend most of our time in gyms or on our laptops looking for the next bag.(business) I am a big believer in you having to fallback and enjoy life too. So, outside of the gym I’d head out to the Fort Worth Stockyards and enjoy some good eating and live music any day of the weekend. Good vibes and energy out there. Other than that, Absolute Recomp or Flex Fitness is where you’ll find me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first job in high school was at Lubys cafeteria. I had excellent grades in school, spoke properly, was hardworking and athletic, but every job I applied to I got turned down. My former manager James Holloway and Carl Wainscott gave me a shot at a job. I held that job from 2014 as a high school junior till 2018 as a junior in college. While at that job I learned how to please customers, how to continue to make them want to come back and most importantly to be a hard worker. I enjoyed working, and learned early that if you work hard you’ll receive the best reward A CHECK. It was this job that when the cook of multiple years left, my managers asked me to take that role. I learned about cooking, sanitation and nutrition. That skill I would take and start a small business cooking my meal preps. I thank them a million times for the job opportunity and each thing I learned in those 4 yrs.
