We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizbeth Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizbeth, how does your business help the community?
I strongly believe that the way my business helps the community and the world is by encouraging women. I strive to influence those around me and empower women on how to be fearless and follow their dream in the beauty industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to set myself apart from others and hold my work to a standard. My makeup attracts a certain group of clients which requires to keep my looks soft and natural only enhancing the beauty that’s already there. I am proud of everything I have accomplished in such a short period of time, from working out of my living room to being able to afford a station at a suite, taking my work and making it on TV! To having a booked schedule back to back. Therefore I am excited to see what the future holds and what awaits for me. I can’t wait for the next business ventures that land in my way. Professionally I am where I’m at because I stood firm with an open mind and remained humble to learning new techniques, opinions, or advice from other artist I wouldn’t say it was challenging in my case I feel it was more about feeling intimidated by the “what if” taking a big step out of your comfort zone can be scary especially investing in the profession. The lessons I’ve learned as a makeup artist is relying on others, timing is very critical, communication is key, networking with other artist/creatives can be beneficial, and most of all promoting your work/self to gain recognition will allow you to grow.

I want the world to know Azul beauty is here to empower you and give you the best version of yourself, that when they sit at my chair they are at the right place the right time. 🦋

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly I am such a stay at home person but if I had to choose a place to eat and drink at it would be Gloria’s. I love to eat and drink here it’s such a chill relaxed restaurant especially after an exhausting day or long trip. The food is delicious you can never go wrong with that place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is definitely a couple of people I would like to give recognition to that have made an impact in my story and what got me to where I am today. First and foremost I want thank god for giving me a gift/talent and allowing me to use it to help others feel beautiful. In addition, to this recognition I would like to show my appreciation to my good friend Caroline Stone who has played a role in my business journey as a mentor. I met her not long after I had started my makeup journey and right away she opened her doors to me and has since then taught me many things that have allowed me to grow and come far as makeup artist. Most importantly the reason behind Azul Beauty comes from a time in my life that represents going through a stage of self awareness and realization. Azul Beauty is not only a name it is a part of me it comes from going through the loss of my son and enduring pain, grief, emptiness, etc to finding purpose and fulfillment in life again.
