We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz / Lisa Dauwe / Patton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz / Lisa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Both Lisa and I (Liz) worked for a big corporate hospitality firm for 15 years, so our biggest motivation for starting Studio White was a desire to create a boutique firm with an intimate work environment. Additionally, we wanted a stabler work-life balance as we both have families!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our journey with starting Studio White Interiors was smoother than we thought it would be. Because of our background in corporate hospitality design, we had roots in the industry that helped us acquire business rather quickly. It was a huge blessing! We believe what sets up apart is that our firm does not have one distinct “look”. We seek to tailor designs to client preferences and/or stylistic choices. Our end goal is always to produce designs that endure the tests of time and best represent our clients. When it comes to who we are, we want everyone to know that we are passionate about what we do and love to cultivate beauty through design.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our first stop would be a nice detoxifying sweat at Shine Hot Pilates followed by a long leisure brunch at Sadelle’s in Highland Park Village. Post brunch, we would definitely spend some time shopping! Some of the best shops in Dallas are located in the middle of Highland Park. Afterwards, we’d head over to Bishop Arts to enjoy viewing some local artisan pieces. Our evening would end with yummy drinks at Paradiso.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our husbands, Phillip Dauwe and Chris Patton.
