We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTonya MeChelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaTonya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
“I have been in business since 2016 this time around. I realized last year that I wasn’t truly in business. I existed, but I wasn’t making money, and I was living in fear. I had to accept that I could never give my clients what they deserved until I got it together. So, I took a sabbatical and regrouped. The LaTonya MeChelle Experience is all about CHOICES: Constantly Having Opportunities to Increase Change & Empower Self. In my mind, whatever services my brand provides, I always want my clients to walk away with a CHOICES mindset and knowing that my team did its part to lead them there. We are here to serve and better our client’s way of thinking. So whether it’s me as a love coach, the media personality, the speaker, the image manager, whether I’m helping veterans to get their disability or cope with their PTSD, or my two magazines LoveChology and Agarre Magazine, the CHOICES mantra always applies.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Maya Angelou once said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” That became my way of explaining how I operate my business. I’m a multifaceted and talented individual who has grouped all of my talents under one umbrella and operates as The LaTonya MeChelle Experience. No matter which service you choose to use, you will always walk away feeling better about yourself. It’s not just business with me; it’s truly a soul-soothing experience. I tap into each of my clients and give them an experience that makes them feel better about themselves. Love is a key ingredient that’s missing in this world, and I give it freely, even to strangers and those who choose not to use my service, whether they can’t afford it or for whatever reason. I have coined the title of The LoveChologist because I’m not your typical love coach. I’m here to make sure that we all get the love that we deserve, knowing that it starts with self-first. Whether for singles or couples, I’m here to set your life on fire and have you receiving your heart’s desires, all while falling more in love with yourself. I am a speaker who can transform any audience into believing that they can walk on water and do anything they put their minds to if they learn to believe in themselves. I’m also a media personality who co-hosts a Sunday radio show on KTOY 104.7, and I own LoveChology Magazine, scheduled to be released on 1.24, and Agarre Magazine in a few months.

In addition to all of these endeavors, I am also a 100% disabled veteran who assists fellow veterans in filing their VA claims so they can receive the compensation they rightfully deserve from Uncle Sam.

Currently, I am thrilled to announce the upcoming release of the inaugural issue of LoveChology Magazine. It’s my opportunity to share my unique perspective with the world, unrestricted by any rules except for the ones I create. I am confident that it will reignite people’s belief in love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I consider myself a homebody, but I do have my favorite spots in Dallas. King Spa & Sauna is definitely at the top of my list. I love to spend my days there, enjoying the numerous steam rooms, saunas, massages, body scrub, hot tub, and ice room. It’s my escape from reality—I bring my laptop, work a little, get pampered, and then relax. When it comes to food, you can never go wrong with Pappadeaux. I also adore a brunch spot called Yolk, located at One Arts Plaza. You might have to wait to get in, but it’s absolutely worth it. Despite being a diehard Eagles fan and despising the Cowboys, I love the vibe of the Star and all the bars in the area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my grandfather, Sylvester Pree Sr., the first person to ever pour into me and encourage me to always stay true to who I am. He taught me to walk in my uniqueness and to accept that I will never be typical. He taught me to be an entrepreneur by making me have paper routes, selling cans and iron, and picking peaches back in the day. He taught me to stand up for myself, to look in the mirror, and see my greatness even if no one else ever saw it, and to never give up. He taught me this as a little girl, but it took me to experience life as a confident woman to understand his lessons. Rest well, Daddy! As long as I’m alive, you will forever live.”
