Hi L’Aqua, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew I wanted to be a business owner, but I wasn’t sure what kind or when I would take the leap. During the pandemic, I started making masks to keep my family and me safe. What began as a simple solution to a pressing need quickly turned into something bigger. I didn’t realize at the time that this small act would lay the foundation for my business. It was an unexpected start, but it showed me the power of meeting a need and creating with purpose.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Khaotic Seams, everything we do is rooted in meaningful purpose. Whether it’s creating a shirt, crafting a bonnet, or having a simple conversation, we aim to provide the best experience possible—even if it’s not directly with us. We believe in leaving a positive impact on everyone we encounter, and that’s what truly sets us apart.

I’m most proud of simply being here. Many people I’ve met on this journey have given up, but I’m still standing because of my foundation. My support system has been unshakeable—it may have had cracks, but it never broke. That resilience has allowed me to build, grow, and thrive.

Being an entrepreneur is no small feat. I often describe it as wearing every hat in a major corporation—employee, employer, manager, HR, payroll, tech support, and more. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. Staying consistent and open to learning has been key to overcoming challenges.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t have to do it all on your own. Yes, it’s your vision, but growth comes when you allow others to pour into it and help it flourish.

What I want the world to know about Khaotic Seams is that we are here to help you protect your crown while allowing you to send a message in style. And trust me, we’re on the way to becoming a household name.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my BFF was visiting, we’d kick off the trip with a relaxing day because I know how hard they work—nothing but lounging, Netflix, and snacks to recharge. On the second day, we’d dive into some fun with a visit to Cinergy Movie Theater for comfy reclining seats and buttery popcorn, followed by a delicious dinner at Texas Roadhouse with their famous rolls and steak. Midweek, we’d hit the road for Houston to explore the Museum of Illusions Houston, a mind-bending and Instagram-worthy experience, and indulge in some amazing food from the city’s vibrant restaurant scene.

The next day would be a chill one, spent shopping at local boutiques and grabbing lunch at a hidden gem café. Then, it’s off to Austin for a night of laughs and singing at Common Interest, where we’d enjoy some good old karaoke fun. Toward the end of the week, we’d slow things down with a visit to my favorite local restaurants and a peaceful stroll through a nearby park to soak up the fresh air. Finally, we’d wrap up the trip with a farewell brunch featuring chicken and waffles, and lots of good vibes. This mix of relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable moments is exactly how I’d show my BFF the best of Central Texas!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who have been instrumental in my journey. First and foremost, I want to give honor to God, as none of this would be possible without Him. My family—my sisters, my mom, and everyone who has stood by me—are the foundation of my success. They are the support system I wish everyone could have, constantly uplifting me as role models, accountability partners, and motivators.

I’m also blessed to have incredible friends who won’t let me quit. They constantly remind me of my “why” and push me forward. The amazing thing about them is how naturally they help, never seeing it as something extra but simply as who they are. These people have poured so much love and encouragement into my story, and I’m endlessly grateful for them.
